I just barely posted her 5 month photos and now Ashlyn is already 6 months old.....half a year....ugh! She's still growing and according to her well baby check up, she's at the top of the charts. She weighed in at 19.1 pounds (90%) and 26.25 inches long (80%). At least she's healthy, right?

I know she's pulling a funny smile in this one. She's started this cute new thing where she scrunches up her nose, smiles really wide, and makes a "Hnnnn" sound. It's not attractive, but pretty funny.
Craigslist.com is quickly becoming a new favorite website of mine. Now that Ashlyn's eating solids (or attempting to anyway), it was time to look into getting a high chair. Since we're strapped for cash, as always, I started looking at alternatives to paying full price. 
I got a great deal on this chair -$40 instead of the $90+ it goes for in stores. This lady in the valley has one child and kept it in immaculate condition. I was so excited and proud of my new purchase! This must be a bit of the feeling my mom used to get in getting things for us instead of buying for herself. I'm beginning to understand the satisfaction in that now. The first night we put Ashlyn in it, she was so excited to be sitting up like a big girl. She just seemed so proud of herself. She couldn't stop with the silly smile! The novelty has wore off a bit now, but she's doing pretty well in starting to eat something other than a bottle & rice cereal.
Derek's going to be upset with me for putting this in, but I think it's cute and want to share. Here's my handsome hubby and our baby girl chillin' on the couch. I'm so blessed to have them in my life. Love you both!

Ashlyn is adorable! Don't worry about looking in on my blog, I am getting used to everyone sharing it with everyone they know. Tonya is crazy about Macy and Matthew and brags about them like they were her own kids. She also brags to me about Ashlyn and Gage frequently also.
