Normally I just take the photos at home but we had some discount coupons and decided to take Ashlyn in for her 5 mo. pictures. Mostly it was because I wanted to get an updated family photo to replace the engagement picture that is still up of Derek and I. Of course we both walked out all discouraged because no matter how much work we've been putting in at the gym or eating less, unfortunately pictures don't lie. We're going to keep working hard at getting in better shape before we take any more family photos for display. At any rate, we of course couldn't pass up some of what we think are adorable shots of Ashlyn.I'm not usually gung ho about the naked baby shots, but we thought we'd try a few in between the family photo and changing her for individual ones. She'd had enough by the time we got to her change of outfit (which I had picked out all special and cute) and wouldn't pose for those to save her life. So, needless to say, these are the ones we ended up with...
I sure wish we lived closer to Derek's sister Jennifer. She's an incredible photographer. If she took them we'd have better photos and we wouldn't be going to a studio and getting sucked into buying more than just the one-pose special discount packet!

I must say the pictures are great. You guys all look wonderful. I was reading up on more entries and what a freaky experience w/ Virgina. I hope everything works out... SCARRY. I am learning life throws curve balls when you least expect it. Hang in there. Shirlyn
The pictures look great! It's so hard to decide in those places where you can only pick a couple, or there arent enough to choose from. We still haven't gone to get professional photos taken. Every month I decide we will just do it next month because this month we
*don't want to drive to town
*can't find the coupon
*are too fat
*Ellia is in between sizes
*snapped a good picture at home recently
and on and on...
now I wish we would have gone all those times we thought about it.
The pictures are beautiful-I really like them a lot. Ashlyn is so dang cute!
Love the pictures and the one at the top side, I believe, she looks just like a Pulsipher baby!!! Yeah for chunky adorable babies! I must agree that of course you go to the place with the coupon expecting to spend about 7.99 with tax and you walk out paying a whole lot more. It gets easier, especially when they don't want to cooperate anymore and then you really only have one photo to choose from. :) It would be nice if Jennifer was done here to take all of our pictures and hang out but then again it would be nice if everyone lived around here again.
I think you all look awesome! And I know that babies get cranky when you change their clothes, but some of the cutest pictures you'll ever get are of them crying. :o) I always take a list of what I absolutely need for pictures, but I've never had Mark's picture taken that I haven't overspent. Oh, well, at least we'll have plenty of cute pictures to remember our babies by, right?

cute pics. It is always nerveracking getting family pics. We just had some taken too but still haven't gotten them back. I think Ashlyn and Annika are really close in age. Annika was born on Feb. 3. How Fun!!!
