We don't really have anything exciting going on right now to write about. Derek is doing well with his job. The carpet market is slow right now - along with the rest of the economy - so he gets frustrated. I am so proud of him. He is a wonderful husband, father, and provider and I am so blessed to share this life with him. I can talk about and embarrass him because I know he doesn't read this :)

We have a YMCA a few blocks from our house that has free child care while parents work out or go to the pool. This month they have just started taking babies at least 3 months old instead of when they are sitting independently. The past couple days I've been taking Ashlyn and dropping her off there while I go work out. It's been such a long time since I've been motivated and been in a regular exercise routine that I am so excited to get started again. Maybe if I put it out there for all of you to know about, then I will hopefully stick with it!!! I just need to be healthier and since I found out that I have arthritis in my knee, I really need to do more to take care of myself. I'm certainly not getting any younger and my metabolism has definitely changed.

I guess I've just been thinking alot about family and friends lately. I am so grateful for each one of you and the influences you have had in shaping my life. I am so happy and thankful to be where I am now. Every hardship, happy memory, friendship, example, & experience has helped me to grow and be stronger. It has been so much fun lately to catch up with old friends through this blogging & email world. I've thought about the many weekends we used to spend "dragging Main" in Richfield and how that seemed like the greatest times. Now here we are 12 or 13 years later and although we're now officially adults, things just keep getting better and better!
I'm grateful to be a part of such a crazy, fantastic, and supportive family! I'm also very blessed to have married into such a wonderful family and am thankful for them. Thank you all for this wonderful life and for being a part of what makes me me!

I couldn't help but smile when I read about "draggin main" in Richfield! It is so funny to drive there on a weekend and see them still "dragging". I guess some things will never change! Sounds like you have a great family. Good for you!

I was thinking the other day about the crazy things we used to do for fun. I'm like you - glad I've been able to reconnect with some old friends. This blogging thing has been really fun. You seem really happy and I'm glad to see that. I'm looking forward to seeing more new pics of Ashlyn!
