We call her "Little Ralphie" (for those who know The Christmas Story). It is really Disney Piglet PJ's. As you can tell, she wasn't as amuzed as we are.
Ashlyn's growing like crazy and has lots of baby chunk. Where does it come from all of a sudden? She's breezed through 3-6 mo. clothes and the 6-9 mo. are fitting pretty well now. I'm learning why everyone says not to get a lot. She wears some of them maybe twice and then they don't fit anymore. At her last appointment the doctor asked if she was rolling yet. When I told him not intentionally, he said it might be tough because it is "alot of weight to try to move"! It's a little funny. She doesn't look or feel that big to me. She's 15 lb 10 oz. which is in the 90% for weight & 24.5 inches which is 60% for height. She'll even out soon. Till then, she has these cute & chunky thighs.
My dad and Virginia came down this past weekend. They're so funny. They decided last minute to go on a cruise leaving San Diego, so they came to Phoenix from Fayette, stayed for the night, then went to California. On their way back home they'll go through Las Vegas to visit her daughter. They figured they might as well "make the loop" while they were going. It's not exactly on the way, but it was great to see them if only for a day or two.
For those of you who know my dad here's a quick update - He has been married to his third wife for three years now. Virginia is Jessie, Doug, Craig, Maren, & Sammy Brown's mom. It is strange that I am now related to kids I went to school with. They are really good together though and things seem to be working out well. The even weirder thing is that Jessie is married to Brian (B.J.) Roberts. I never would have imagined that we would someday be having Holiday family dinners together!
Before I went to bed last night, I had a really profound thought of what I wanted to write about. Of course I can't think of it now so I'll end here.

I love fat rolls!!! Oh and just so you know, Pulsipher babies are bound to have chunky thighs but they really do grow out of them, unless they are just solid muscle like Spencer. She is right on schedule with Madelyn and Spencer. I believe that they were even heavier than that...

Love to see that you do torture her...do it while you can because before you know it they are talking and letting you know they don't like it.
I love the picture of Ashlyn! And I love the Ralphie outfit! I dressed Mark in crazy things and he HATED it. He still hates it when I put hats on him but he's too cute to pass up the opportunity to dress him up. And they're only little once
That's cool your dad and Virginia came to visit. I'll bet your dad is one proud grandpa!!!
At least they're healthy chunky babies, right?! Heather - your mom sent a copy of the growth chart page out of Derek's baby book so we could compare. Too funny!

He was even bigger than Madelyn was. At 3 1/2 months he weighed 16lb 8 oz! He hasn't called Ashlyn chunky as often now that we found that out :)
