She also finally broke her first tooth this morning. We've thought for months that she's been teething and, as she always does things in her own time, it's finally happened. You can't really see it yet but it's definitely there & coming through.

On the Move
I married a city boy and thought that I'd escaped being a "Hunter's Widow". Well, it is the time of year that I have instead become a "Football Widow" yet once again. Derek's really pretty good as long as he's able to check scores, but when it's the Philadelphia Eagles or University of Michigan playing - I get hours of time to myself. Good thing we have two TVs! We'll take turns with Ashlyn, but she loves to watch all the football action with her daddy. I think we've got a little tom boy on our hands.
This is Derek's Michigan Fan-in-Training. I make sure to put the bow on so you can tell she's a girl. Don't think it will make much difference though. She gets mistaken for a boy all the time - even when she's dressed in pink. Hopefully she'll grow hair at some point.
This has been a busy week for Ashlyn. She's so proud that she has finally figured out how to crawl. She's started to discover that cords, outlets, and especially daddy's playstation remote are much more exciting than any of her toys. Her favorite, however, is this wicker basket. It's the first thing she goes for and it keeps her entertained for quite a while.
Ashlyn Loves her Bath Time & Splashin' in the Water
It's fun to see her personality coming out a lot more. She's a bit of a tease. She'll ignore me on purpose and laugh about it. Splash me in the tub, scream & squeal just to see how loud she can get her voice. We're still struggling with nap time. She'll purposely keep sitting up and laugh as I struggle to keep her lying down. (She still hasn't figured out how to lay back down on her own without just falling over). It's all cute for now, but I worry about when she starts talking back and getting in trouble!

No fair - that video clip was not long enough! What a cutie she is. I love her sqeals and think she's an adorable little football fan. You might be a football widow, but I got the hat of hunter's widow. Too bad we don't live closer so we could be widows together. :o)
She has a bow to match every outfit!
Not even just the outfits, every onesie! You're so creative! She's so stinkin' cute!
What a cute football onesie! Isn't it crazy how fast they grow up!
Sorry to hear about the "Football Widow" I am lucky enough not to be a widow to anything really, then again Jared has learned from the past (video games use to be a big thing when we were first married).
She is adorable and keeps getting bigger each time you post something new. Can't wait to see you all at Christmas time.
Of course Jared is going to Tucson the week of the 20th but I am stuck here because of the primary program, we have had a few vacations in the last month, and Madelyn hates to miss preschool (I hate it too because I pay out the ears for it, I think). Wish we could make it down there but perhaps the next time.
What a cute football fan I am sure Derek is very proud. Isn't that every dad's dream to have someone look forward to Football as much as them. She is adorable as always Shirlyn
What a cutie!!! How fun she is crawling! It's a whole different world when they can get to whatever they want whenever they want!! It is so fun though!! She is darling!!
