Once a month Derek has to work for a few days in the towns of ShowLow & Snowflake. It is about 2 1/2 hours away from our house. Derek's birthday was on Monday so this month we went with. It's nice 'cause the hotel is paid for through work. What a fun time we had! It was really good for Derek and I to get away together and have time to talk and just have fun. It seems like the last while at home has been so mundane that it was good to get away & be in a cooler climate in the White Mountains. 
Ashlyn had her first swimming experience. She wasn't quite sure at first, but it only took a minute or two and she decided she loved it! 
Oh, Heather - the weekend before last we finally went to the Reflections of Christ photo exhibit at the Mesa Temple Visitors Center. It was pretty awesome. Honestly though, even for as much as I love art and exhibits, I enjoyed the slide show with the music better. We were both a little disappointed. Thanks for the info on the Reflections of Christ. Glad to know that I am not missing out on too much. It looks like you had a wonderful time while away. I will admit that those "little retreats" are always the best.
Still waiting to find out when Jared gets to go to Tucson again. Hopefully soon.

I wish that we traveled with my husband more. He's usually away 3 or 4 days a month. We always come up with some reason why we should just go next time. Seriously, I'm excited that you are blogging! Do you keep in touch with anyone at PEEP still? I don't mind at all if you add us to your blog list!
